Swimming Lessons!

Today Battier went swimming for the first time! In February we had some swim lessons in Palm Springs, but she was pretty little and didn't really seem to like it that much. Today was a hot Spring day in Sacramento, around 85* so I wanted to give the dogs an opportunity to swim! I put a Ruff Wear lifejacket on Battier and showed her the steps. Great Grandma Shawn loves swimming and Battier followed what she was doing! She eventually would go in from the steps and get a toy.

Swimming lessons are important for all dogs! We share this in memory of my 7th CCI puppy Thompson III who was involved in a pool accident.
