Crab feed, puppy sitter and toys!

Battier spent the weekend with a friend and CCI puppy sitter who does not have a puppy right now. It sounds like she did very well and had fun too! On Saturday Battier went to a class all day and was like an "invisible" puppy, this is what we like to hear. It's important for service dogs to do their job and not disrupt things, so being "invisible" is great. On Saturday night Battier went to the Crab Feed in Sacramento that benefited Canine Companions for Independence. It's always a fun event!

Battier and Siete.

Today I took Battier's 5 month old photos (I take them every 15th of the Month). They turned out well.

Battier also went to the park today and we worked on "up" using different things in the park. It's important to have a good "up" command since this will be the base for teaching things like "light" and doing a transaction at a store. Battier did "up" today for the first time on our chain link tennis court fence.

We of course had to do a little photo shoot while we were taking the 5 month photos. Battier sure is photogenic! I just love this puppy! She's going to make someone very happy someday :)

Last week I e-mailed our Puppy Program Manager at CCI asking what types of toys the dogs in Advanced Training use/need because I'm having a birthday party for Shawn (CCI Chandra) at the end of this month! Shawn will be 10 years old and she had 36 puppies for CCI. Today our Puppy Program Manager sent out an e-mail to all puppy raisers talking about toys to donate! So if you would like to donate a toy to the dogs in Advanced Training click the link and it will take you to their Amazon Wish List. Thank you!
