A busy Sunday!

The Sacramento Kings are in China for the NBA Global Games! We had to stay up late to watch JT play! This was the first time Battier's been on the couch, invited up of course. It's good training for the dogs to know that they can only get on the couch when invited. She never begs to get up and she listens well when I tell her it's time to get off.

Today Battier had puppy class. She did VERY well! We practiced on the dog kibble. This can be tough for some dogs since they're not sure if they should walk on the food or not. Battier was awesome! She didn't care that there was food on the ground and she did all her commands that I asked her to. This picture is of her waiting with kibble on her feet.

We also had a little competition. First we had to have the dogs do a down without any type of body cue of eye contact. Battier was a champ, but it was tough for some of the puppies. We also practiced auto-sits without any eye contact. The only thing I need to work a little more on with Battier is her commands in the "Side" position. Battier won a new toy for winning the down contest.

After class Battier and Shawn went swimming at our friends house and they loved it! With the weather cooling off they probably won't have too many more opportunities to swim this year.

We came home and watched football! Battier and Shawn had to stay on their bed until they dried. We went and played on the tennis court at halftime.

Then we went to Thunder Valley...I put in $20 and was down to about $3 when I hit this! Battier was great with all the people and sounds at the casino. I donated some of the winnings to Battier's Dog Fest team!
