Dentist appointment and Puppy Class

Today Battier went with me to the dentist. She did great! Battier pretty much slept the entire appointment, only getting up for some love after the cleaning. 

My next appointment is on Battier's birthday! It'll be interesting to see how much she grows in 6 months. 

Dr. Casagrande's office has been awesome with all my puppies! 

Puppy class tonight was in Folsom. We worked on: bed, heel, side, roll and other distraction training. This was the first time I introduced roll formally to Battier, she is catching on to it fast.

Tonight in Basic class we worked on "car", "back" from the front position or heel/side. This was Battier's first introduction to "back", her auto-sits are so good that she backs and then sits, I will be working on her standing with the back command. Another thing we worked on was making sure the puppies are comfortable being handled, for example being in a down position like a vet tech would put them in. Battier did well and was relaxed during this training, it is important to have the puppy trust you for this kind of behavior. 

After class we took a picture of the girls that are all 2 months apart! Azuki (Zorba x Sabina II) born December 13th, Battier (Orent II x Tosca II) born October 15th and Jane (Orent II x Winter) born August 15th. It'll be fun watching all these girls grow up! 

After dinner we went to dinner at Chipotle with Jane and Spunky (and their puppy raisers of course!) The puppies all did very well.
