Doctor and X-Ray appointment

Battier and I went to the doctors office today. I hit my foot on the couch about 3 weeks ago and I'm checking to see if it's fractuted. The doctors office loved seeing Battier again! They first saw her in April after the car accident.
Battier thinks the doctors office is a good place for a nap.

Now we're at the x-ray office. The people at the front were so excited to see "a real service dog". They said that they've had a lot of problems with people bringing fake service dogs in. One dog even but another patient. They said the biggest problem is with little pocket dogs. One lady said she did a lot of research after, it's so sad that people take advantage of the system.

49ers and Broncos game!

Battier went to her first football game yesterday! She did well on the city bus and even better at the stadium with 70,000 people! She takes in the crowds well and slept during the entire game. It's a big stadium and we took a few elevators to get to our club level seats. People at the stadium were awesome, they definitely know a lot about service dogs and puppies in training.

Off to the game!

Club Level seats! So nice at the new Levi Stadium!

Checking out all the players!

Our friend and Broncos punter Britton Colquitt

We met up with Britton after the game...Battier didn't get the memo to look at the camera.

Graduation Day

Today was National Graduation Day for Canine Companions for Independence. Such a magical day! It's always great to go to graduation and see why we raise these puppies. The stories from the graduates really make it all worth it. There were a lot of happy people on stage today receiving their new partners and it also looked like a big class turn in class.

We arrived at CCI around 10:30 am and we dropped off Lilo so he can go to Montana to be raised in the prison program. Lilo came to visit last night and he is Battier's half brother from Tosca. He sure was a cute little puppy!

Lilo (Pixar x Tosca II) 11 weeks

After we turned Lilo in to the vet clinic we went to the play yard. It's always fun to let the dogs play with all their CCI friends! There were quite a few family members in the yard and we took some pictures.

Play time!!

Little Brother Lilo!

Meet Lilo! He's Battier's half sibling from Tosca. Lilo is hanging out with us for a night then going to a Montana Prison Program. Lilo is 11 weeks and has a lot of learning ahead of him. He's a very sweet puppy and I can see a resemblance to Battier.

Tennis anyone?

It's been over 4 months since I've played tennis, since the accident I haven't been able to move very well. Tonight I tried and Battier held her down-stay for an hour without a leash. She has been exposed to a tennis court since she was 8 weeks old and I think it really helps the puppies. Each of my puppies has reacted the same way Battier does in the video. They all look pretty bored with it, just how they should be in training. Battier took advantage of nap time.

Battier at almost 10 months!
