Another busy day for Battier!

     

Battier had another great day! She's being a very good girl and is very sweet. Check out the pictures in her cape, she looks like a pro already!

Found out today that Battier turned in to CCI at 16.125 lbs! Such a big girl! Her brother Brubeck was 17 lbs! Guess it helps that there were only 6 puppies in this litter, more food to go around :)

Battier tried on her cape for the first time! She's already looking up to Hiltie in her blue cape! Hopefully one day Battier's cape will turn from yellow to blue! CCI puppies wear yellow during their time in training with their puppy raisers. When puppies go to Advanced Training at one of the 5 centers around the country, their capes become blue when they graduate!

Sounds like Battier had a great day today! She explored the backyard and got to hang out with Hiltie. Looks like they're having a lot of fun!

Battier has been picked up from CCI!

Battier has been picked up from CCI NW by my friend Karen since I am in Cabo this week. Karen and I became friends in 2005 when her family graduated as a Skilled Companion team with Hiltie, the 2nd puppy I raised for CCI. Hiltie is actually great great Aunt to Battier. Hiltie's dad OMSI is Chandra's dad , Akeelah's grandpa, Tosca's great grandpa and Battier's great great Grandpa. It will be fun to get picture of Hiltie, Chandra (Shawn) my 3rd CCI puppy and Breeder and Battier (my 8th CCI puppy).

Battier's green ear is from her new tattoo. After a few days the green vegetable dye will fade, we just love their green ears!

Battier and siblings go to the CCI puppy park!

Battier and her siblings went to Canine Companions for Independence puppy park yesterday! This is their first step on their journey. They have their vet checks and tattoos today before going to their puppy raisers around the country! Battier won't be taking a flight like her siblings, but since she's the only puppy staying in the North West Region all her siblings will be flying somewhere. CCI has 5 regions around the country all with their own training center. NW is the only region with breeders since it is where National Headquarters is. Battier is getting picked up today by friends since I am in Mexico soaking up the sun before I go back home Friday! I can't wait to meet Battier!

The "B" puppies go to CCI today to start their new adventure!

Today is the day that the "B" puppies leave their mom and their home for the past 8 weeks! They're going to puppy raisers all over the country to learn the basic (35 commands) and get lots of socialization! Then the next step in about 16-18 months will be Advanced Training where they will continue learning their advanced commands to hopefully one day graduate as a Canine Companions for Independence Service Dog!
